The Great Mountain

Luxury Lodging for Families | Mount Katahdin | Glamping Hub

Day 1

Hey readers,

how are you? I’m good today. For exercise I’m going to bike, for more on that check out my exercise page, anyway I’m making a list of things I’ll need for Baxter, so I’ll put that at the end of this blog for you. Today I’m doing fun facts that may help me during my climb. I know, I know your thinking “it’s boring and short” well it’s not boring but it’s really really really really really really really reeeeeeaaaaaalyyyyyyy short oh no I just wasted some of my really really really rerealllyyee… (ugh wake up Cleo) short time saying really so let the show begin.

My dad told me that the biggest muscle for climbing the great mountain is not your hamstring your biceps or your calves it’s your mind, so when you climb the great mountain your headspace is what counts (of course it’s good to have muscle too)

I have seen the great mountain before but never climbed it. My dad says at the top there are cairns, great piles of rock and stones to guide travelers through the path when it snows!

  1. This is quite the list! 🧐 Your adventure/expedition sounds very exciting. I hope you can share photos (even video journals) on your blog. You are right, this challenge involves everything … your mental, emotional along with your physical attributes. What an experience to remember and have documented.

Unfortunately, I’m unfamiliar with the details of this mountain. How long do you expect it will take you to reach the top and to come down? Are there basecamps along the way you will be staying at? It sounds like a strenuous trek! A Big 👍🏼 Sister! What an awesome trip this should be. We’re looking forward to all your updates!

  2. Way to go, Cleo! This sounds like an amazing adventure! Who all is going on this trek? Wait, why do you have beer on your packing list? Haha! Just kidding! Have fun!

  3. Hi Cleo! It Ms. Tiamiyu! I’m so proud of your work here. I feel well prepared for The Great Mountain, after reading your post! This is so good! Great detail!
